AK47
The AK-47 is undoubtedly the best weapon in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. A well-placed headshot will drop opponents, even if they are wearing armor.
M4A4
It's the CT's weapon of choice. It can hold its own in long-range firefights and wipe a rushing team in a single magazine. The recoil management too is awesome.
The AWP is one of the few weapons in the game capable of giving you one shot-one kill in the game. It can let you shut down an entire section of a map. It is expensive, but it is worth every dollar spent.
AWP
Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle is another one shot-one kill gun. It is a workhorse if used well, capable of winning rounds by itself. But if you miss your shot, it's very difficult to defend yourself.
UMP-45
This is one of the most well rounded weapons in the game, and you should get it if you can't afford an assault rifle. It gives the user a fighting chance at a distance while still possessing SMG killing power in close range.
MP9
This gun shines in close range maps. It is affordable, it allows for high mobility, and shreds players that are foolish enough to engage in close quarters combat.
AUG
The AUG was recently nerfed, but is still one of the better weapons offered to CTs. Use it to hold and defend bomb sites. The recoil pattern of it is pretty easy to understand too.
