HOW TO MUTE

VIDEOS YOU SEND

WhatsApp now allows you to mute videos you're sending — useful if you're just trying to send a quick video without background noise, or to avoid sending a very loud video.

This feature has only been rolled out to Android at the time of writing, but iPhone users should get it soon too.

Keep tapping to learn how it works!

The first thing you need to do is make sure you're on the latest version of WhatsApp. Open Google Play and check this, then we can get started with WhatsApp.

Once you've opened WhatsApp, just open a chat, and tap the paperclip attachment button in the chat window to get started.

You can record a video — or if you already have the video you want to send saved in your gallery like we did, then you can just select that, like you normally would. But don't hit send!

As you can see in the video in the background, there's a small speaker icon near the top left corner. Tap that icon to mute the video before sending.

That's it — you're set. You can now send the video, and it will remove the audio so that the person you're sending it to will just get the visual, and no sound at all.

That's all you need to know about this topic, but we make a lot of useful how to's. Click the button above to check them out.
