• Great, powerful laptop (with several handicaps)

  UPDATE: Although what I stated previously is valid, this laptop has three major setbacks, which I have been able to find after using it.1. Turbo Boost (Overclock) only activates if it is plugged in. I was amazed at its performance, but working in the office. Working on the go, which is one of the points of having a laptop, is a pain, as its processor will only work at 1.6GHz (less than half of the desired/maximum 3.4GHz). Even loading Word files takes its time.2. While I believe this is probably an isolated issue, one of the perks of this laptop are its two hard drives. Awesome, right? Well, no, since the D: drive is defective. After a year with the laptop, I decided to finally start using it, and it would not read files. After analyzing it, both C: and D: drives have been "turned on" the same number of times, but the D: drive (the one I had NOT used) has worked for 750 hours, against 350 of the C: drive which includes system files and was the only one I actually used.How can the empty disc have been used double the amount of time than the C: with system files and which was used EVERYDAY?3. Although I am not entitled to a warranty, I reached customer service for some insight, and without getting into specifics, their response was FAR from desirable. In fact, it is one of the worst I have received.All in all, this is a good laptop, if only it costed a couple hundred dollars less and the D: had arrived in proper conditions.-Performance on this laptop is great. As this was the objective I was pursuing with its purchase, I could not be more fulfilled. Everything loads with ease, multiple storage units with large capacity, great keyboard. And a seamless display, which could add more brightness but is just beautiful.There are several setbacks, though. The sound quality was my biggest surprise, as it does not compare to older laptops I purchased for less money. Not having a SS USB port is also a bummer, as transfer speeds are significantly slower.If you know what you are looking for, this unit is highly recommended.
