With smartphone prices rising, are you planning to keep your phone longer?

Every year, I notice that the price of smartphones continues to rise, while the actual improvements made in the product tend to be small. I am left with the question of whether it is still reasonable to consider upgrading a device based on its cost/benefit ratio.

I have already been using my smartphone for more than 6 years, and I do not see any need to purchase a new smartphone at this time. As a user, I feel that most new smartphone models are providing us with fewer and fewer features, but at an increasing cost. Therefore, I do not see any sense in upgrading until there is either an obvious or a substantial decline in device performance. So do not spend your money until your device actually screams I won’t stay with you and stops working suddenly.
