The Last of Us (Platform: PlayStation 3 only)

They gave us Crash Bandicoot, the Jak and Daxter series and the highly acclaimed Uncharted franchise. And now Naughty Dog is set to unveil their latest creation titled The Last of Us. First teased at the spike video Game Awards last year, the game features a father-daughter duo portrayed by Ellie and Joel, who begin their journey from the post apocalyptic city of Pittsburgh, gradually exploring other areas out of the city. This PS3 exclusive draws inspiration from various movies and novels like I Am Legend and City of Thieves

Assassin's Creed III (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation Vita, Windows PC)

Assassin's Creed is one game that has always amazed us in some way or the other with Ezio's adventures in the renaissance era. This time around Ubisoft decided to do away with both and introduce something fresh. Assassin's creed III is set in colonial America with the Assassin-Templar war entering the American Revolution. As Desmond Miles, you now control Connor Kenway who is half English and half Mohawk. Popular historical figures and cities make an appearance like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Boston and New York

Tomb Raider (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC, Mac OS X)

The teaser trailer of the game at last year's E3 left audiences hooting for more. A reboot in the franchise, the game showcases a young Lara Croft embarking on a quest for survival that unfolds her identity as the tomb Raider. The graphics look spectacular and the game seems highly promising

Halo 4 (Xbox 360)

The eighth installment in the Halo franchise by 343 Industries, the game marks the return of Master Chief John 117 who was last spotted in Halo 3 launched in 2007. The game, which picks up from the destructed Halo 3 environments, is an onset of a new trilogy with its official release this year. It is now expected to focus more on mystery, exploration and discovery than being just a conventional first-person-shooter

Hitman Absolution (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC)

Agent 47 returns in the next iteration of the Hitman series, surrounded amidst a dark conspiracy of betrayal en route to uncover the truth. Set in the U.S., the game is expected to feature an instinct mode allowing 47 to predict enemy patrol routes as well as the debut of a new lead enemy named Blake Dexter

The raccoon is back to sneak around and collect artifacts to help restore the history of the Thievus Raccoonus. Sly Cooper gathers his gang to find the missing book by travelling through time in an attempt to save his legacy. Originally developed by Sucker Punch for the PS2, the series (now developed by Sanzaru Games) now continues by debuting on the PS3 and the Vita

Call of Duty: Black Ops II (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC)

A sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops, the game continues with its ninth installment from developer Treyarch. The game features two connected story lines in the single-player mode; one set in the 1970's and the other in 2025. Alex Mason, the lead protagonist, engages in Cold War in the U.S. while his son David Mason appears in 2025 in another cold war between China and the U.S. Treyarch has also confirmed the return of the Zombies mode as a standalone campaign

What initially began as an interquel titled Metal Gear: Rising, has now transformed into Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. The game, which is a spin-off, focuses on cyborg ninja Raiden fighting cyborg enemies while attempting to rebuild an unknown country. It is set to take place several years after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots and include more action sequences
