With Apple Music rolling out support for high-resolution lossless audio in India, there is renewed interest in wired earphones and headphones, particularly of the audiophile kind. I've tested the service with a number of headphones and earphones since its introduction in India, and while there's plenty to enjoy even with budget equipment, spending more money on premium, well-engineered kit will give you a considerably better listening experience. That's where the Sennheiser IE 300, the in-ear monitors I'm reviewing here, come in.

The Sennheiser IE 300 IEMs are priced at Rs. 29,990, and promise a premium, audiophile listening experience that goes well with high-resolution audio. With interest in wired earphones and headphones picking up after the rollout of Lossless Audio on Apple Music, the Sennheiser comes in offering good sound quality, wired connectivity, and an easy-going, easy-to-drive specification set that lets it be used easily with just about any source device with a headphone jack.

Although the earphones sound great, there's just a bit missing at the top, and the sound doesn't quite deliver the audiophile-experience that you'd expect at this price. Nonetheless, this is an enjoyable pair of earphones.
