Nokia has introduced the nexGTv mobile television service for its Lumia and Nokia X range of devices, enabling users to watch live streaming of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 7 on the go for free.

"Catch PEPSI IPL 2014 coverage free for Nokia Lumia users including match highlights, best moments of match and much more. Unlock the world of cricket here on nexGTv," states the app listing page.

The users can download the nexGTv mobile TV application from the Windows Phone Store to experience features like tracking latest scores, listening commentary, following and getting in touch with IPL players via social websites.

Some alternate Windows Phone applications through which users can stay updated with the latest IPL scores and news are Cricbuzz, ESPN Cricinfo, CricHQ, and Yahoo Cricket.

While the Nokia X handsets have nexGTv and CricHQ apps in their market (Nokia Store), the entry-level Asha phones have CricHQ, Yahoo Cricket and ESPN Hub.

The Windows Phone users can also download the official BCCI app for IPL for live scores, fixtures and results, though it doesn't support live streaming.

Not only Nokia, but HTC is also engaging itself more in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season as it has partnered with IPL team Delhi Daredevils to make the HTC One (M8) as the 'official phone' for the GMR Group-owned cricket franchise.

The Android and iOS users can experience live scores, results, team details, schedules and more via IPL 2014's official app via their respective app markets - Google Play and App Store.
