Nimbuzz offers 100 free international calling minutes on LG L-Series III phones

Nimbuzz, an instant messaging and voice-calling service, has partnered with LG Mobiles. The partnership will see LG preloading the Nimbuzz app on its LG L-Series III smartphones, and Nimbuzz offering 100 minutes of free international calls to any number in the US.

The messaging service also announced that Nimbuzz now has over 150 million users worldwide, and is available in more than 200 countries.

"Nimbuzz being a pioneer of FREE mobile communication. Voice calling is fast changing into an Internet based service from being a telecom one. We are extremely excited about our partnership with LG. Their commitment to re-inventing smartphone technologies coupled with our scaled International calling platform will ensure that the LG users would find immense value from the Offer," stated Vikas Saxena, CEO Nimbuzz in a statement.

"Voice calling is fast becoming an internet based service. We are extremely excited about our association with Nimbuzz on our latest Android KitKat OS based L-Series III lineup. Their commitment to extending an affordable international calling platform to users will draw maximum value for LG and Nimbuzz. The growing popularity of affordable smartphones from industry players like LG and the increasing adoption of Wi Fi /3G networks will only accelerate this technological shift," added Amit Gujral, Marketing Head LG Mobiles, India on the partnership of LG and Nimbuzz.

The Nimbuzz app is available to download from Google Play, App Store, and Windows Phone Store.

Nimbuzz in October last year commenced its pre-paid international calling service by teaming up with Internet service provider Spectranet. Spectranet's 'hello IP' service, which is powered by Nimbuzz, allows the chat platform's users to make affordable international calls from across India to all over the world.
