Nikon has expanded its Coolpix line-up with the launch of the A900, B700 and B500 compact zoom cameras. It will be available in the coming months at a price of $399 (approximately Rs. 27,000), $499 (approximately Rs. 33,500) and $299 (approximately Rs. 20,000) respectively.

All three cameras support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for an "always-on" connection with Nikon's SnapBridge app. You also get built-in Wi-Fi and NFC with these cameras.

The Coolpix A900 features 35x optical zoom, a 20-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, and 4K video recording at 30fps. The camera also sports a 3-inch tilting display with a 920k-dot resolution. The cameras have been designed for maximum zoom for travel photography while still keeping the overall footprint small so that it's still relatively pocketable.

The Coolpix B700 boasts of a 20.3-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and a massive 60x optical zoom, making it ideal for wildlife photography and travel. The camera also has the ability to shoot in burst mode up to 5fps. You also get a 3-inch tiltable LCD display, RAW format support, different creative shooting modes and support for 4K video recording too.

Coming to the Coolpix B500, the camera features a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and a 40x optical zoom. You also get hybrid VR to counter accidental camera shakes, full-HD video recording and a tilting 920K-dot 3-inch LCD display. The B500 uses AA batteries instead of a rechargeable Lithium-ion one.
