Nikon has launched the new 16.2-megapixel Nikon D5100 D-SLR with a many new features including a 3-inch, 921K-dot vari-angle LCD screen, which utilizes a side hinge that enables flexibility during shooting. The camera is also equipped with the D-Movie function which supports recording of full-HD (1920 × 1080p, 30fps/ 25fps/24fps) movies, as well as a special effects mode with which a variety of special effects can be applied to still images and movies. The D5100 kit will include AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens. Just the D5100 body will cost Rs. 34,450 and if you decide to pick up the entire kit, it will cost Rs. 39,950.
Additional features include, High-speed continuous shooting at up to approximately 4 fps; quiet shutter-release mode; 16 scene modes and built-in HDMI-CEC compatibility that enables control over playback of still images and movies using the television's remote control.
