During our E3 coverage, we had reported Activision's teaser of Angry Birds being developed for consoles. This has now been confirmed by Rovio's Executive Vice President of Games Petri Jarvilehto.

Speaking to IGN, Jarvilehto said, "Angry Birds Trilogy is built from the ground up for HDTV's and you can think of the game as the ultimate collector's edition." The trilogy playable through a single disc or a 3DS cartridge, comprises of Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio. Players can explore the game's workings using the PlayStation Move, Microsoft Kinect and StreetPass on the 3DS.

Revealing more about the trilogy, Jarvilehto said, "There are new cinematics, extras and other entertaining content. In addition all of the existing material has been uprezzed and re-treated for the high-resolution and big screen. The backgrounds have been animated, we've added lighting modes, reactive backgrounds and the list goes on and on."
