  • Google Flight Search will now help you find cheapest tickets
  • The service will notify you about expected price changes
  • It will also suggest alternate airports if that will save you money

Google launched its Flight Search service in India at the beginning of this year. Since then, the company has further optimised its results to allow users to track fare changes for particular flights and get a notification if the rates increase or decrease through email and Google Now cards. Now, the search giant has updated its Flight Search to provide users with notifications about expected price changes while booking tickets based on historical trends.

The service will display expected price hike for your selected route, if there is any, and will let you know if you are booking the tickets at the right time.

"After selecting a specific flight, a notification may appear letting you know when the current fare is expected to expire and how much you can save if you book now," the company said in its official blog post.

Google Flight Search will essentially provide you with tips to help you book your tickets. These tips can include recommendation of an alternate airport or a change in date for the journey. On the basis of historical prices for the route, it will notify you the expected price hike and when it is likely to happen.

The company has further made the search for flights easier on mobile and allows you to track and manage your flights on your smartphone, it points out. "If you're still looking for inspiration on where to travel, tap on Explore to find ideas on destinations to visit based on the type of vacation you're looking for.
