Mumbai Metro One has launched an online top-up facility for smart cards whereby commuters can recharge their cards through Internet-enabled mobile phones and computers.

"The company has launched the top-up facility of CSC and the online recharge services will be available to smart card users with over 50 banks," a release said on Thursday.

The services will be led by ICICI Bank and State Bank of India through their payment gateway services. Commuters will be able to pay from more than 50 banks through Internet banking, debit cards and credit cards, it said.

"This is the latest addition to our volley of commuter friendly and innovative products introduced since the launch of Mumbai Metro. We always strive to bring value addition and ensure comfort to the commuters with help of advanced technology and our partners," MMOPL spokesperson said.
