There's no shortage of cloud storage services on the market, however, not many of them give you the option to get your data shipped to you on a hard drive in an event of an emergency. BackBlaze, one of the few companies that offer such feature, is now taking things to the next level. The company says that it will send over a hard drive to you with your data stored in it for free - provided you send them back the hard drive.

In an event of Internet or electricity outage, cloud storage services aren't going to be much of a help because you might not be able to access the service. This is where Backblaze's new feature can come in handy. The company says that it will ship its customers a copy of their data (up to 4TB) on an external hard drive or a USB drive and refund the entire amount once a user has sent back the hard drive.

Backblaze is giving users the option to keep the hard drive with them for up to 30 days. Do note that you can always pay Backblaze $189 (roughly Rs. 12,900) and own the hard drive. A 128GB flash drive sent your way costs $99 (roughly Rs. 6,700.

"Today we are announcing our Restore Return Refund program," the company wrote in a blog post. "For the last 6 months we've had a pilot program where some customers requesting a hard drive restore were offered that if they pay for return shipping and send their hard drive to us within 30 days of receipt, we would refund the $189 that they paid us."

For those unfamiliar. Backblaze offers backup of an unlimited amount of data from a single PC or Mac at a price point of $5 (roughly Rs. 350) per month.
