Almost anyone who regularly watches YouTube videos must be familiar with the famous 301+ video views mark that shows up for new uploaded videos on the platform for a prolonged period of time. YouTube is all set to change it as the company on Wednesday announced that it will now show up real-time video view count below the video player. Additionally, the first Creator Preview version of YouTube Gaming for Android was also released.

Announcing the news, YouTube Creators Twitter account said, "We're saying goodbye to 301+ and hello to more up-to-date video views."

The company explained that until now when people watched a video, which usually is stored on many servers around the world, the views were recorded centrally to be verified as real. When a video passed 300 views, the video platform used to freeze the view count while checking for spam or bots increasing the number of views. Thus, the 301+ views showed up on the front end.
