YouTube Rewind 2016: Google Lists Top India and Global Trending Videos

YouTube on Thursday released its year-ender list, YouTube Rewind 2016, detailing the top trending videos, top music videos, top movie trailers, top independent creators, as well as the top viewed ads for India. In a separate list for the globe, YouTube on Wednesday detailed the top trending videos and top music videos.

Starting with India, YouTube identified the top creators, trending videos, music videos, and movie trailers. The Google-owned video sharing network said that the top 10 trending videos in India had over 70 million views, and that the channels that made them had over 45 million subscribers.

Finally, coming to the global YouTube Rewind 2016 list, the company said that the top 10 trending video had over 550 million views cumulatively, and had been watched for over 25 million hours. The channels that posted them had over 40 million subscribers collectively.
