HCL has announced the HCL Ultrasmart ME Series ultrabook in India starting at a price point of Rs. 51,990.
The ultrabooks in the series pack in Intel's latest Ivy bridge processors. Sporting a sleek metal grey design at 18mm thickness, the ultrabooks feature a 14-inch WXGA HD LED Backlit display with a pixel resolution of 1366x768.
The Ultrasmart ME is equipped with plenty of connectivity options including two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port,1 HDMI Port and a 4-in-one card reader. The device support Wi-fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
The ultrabook weighs 1.7 kg and has a built-in trackpad with multi-gesture support. The machine features a 1.3MP VGA camera and also comes with a 2x2Watt advanced sound system. It is supported by the HCL Advantage 39 months warranty.
Users can opt for 4GB/8GB RAMs and i5/i7 processors with hard disk capacities unto 750GB. The device promises a battery backup of up to 7 hours.

The HCL ME Ultrabook offers Hybrid Drive version that is a combination of SSD & SATAII HDD. While this version is priced at Rs. 51,990, other versions in the series are available for Rs. 54,990 with 128 GB SSD only and Rs. 52,990 with Hybrid drive & Idea Generator Tool worth Rs. 12,990.
