Lenovo Refreshes Its IdeaPad Portfolio; Launches Legion Y920 and Flex 5 Laptops

Lenovo on Thursday refreshed its IdeaPad product portfolio with slimmer design as the company launched its IdeaPad 720S, IdeaPad 320S, and IdeaPad 320 laptops. Apart from this, the company also launched its powerful Legion Y920 gaming laptop, which it claims to be its best ever, and the Flex 5 2-in-1 laptop. While the Flex 5 will be made available later this month, the other laptops will be made available for purchase by the company next month.

Talking first about the IdeaPad laptops, Lenovo's new laptops come in attractive colours and the "S" in the name stands for slim design on these models.

Lenovo IdeaPad 720S

The pricing for top-of-the-line IdeaPad 720S laptop starts from $969.99 (roughly Rs. 63,100) and the product will be made available from June. The 720S is only available in one screen size and sports a 14-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and will be available with up to seventh-generation Core i7 processor. The laptop offers 512GB of SSD storage and comes with an impressive 16GB of RAM. Notably, in terms of connectivity, it offers a Thunderbolt 3 port. Lenovo's new IdeaPad 720S weighs 1.55kg and is 15.9mm thick.

The laptop is further available with features like an optional fingerprint reader for Windows Hello support and Nvidia GeForce GT940MX graphics card. "Designed for greater mobility, its always-on charging feature lets users charge other devices via a USB port even when the laptop is powered off," the company said in its release.

Coming to Lenovo's new IdeaPad 320S, the laptop will be made available in 14-inch and 15-inch screen sizes with full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display resolution. The IdeaPad 320S will be made available with up to seventh-generation Core i7 processor, will have a backlit keyboard, and will be offered with SSD as well as HDD storage option. The pricing for 14-inch variant of the IdeaPad 320S will start from $739.99 (roughly Rs.48,100) and that for 15-inch variant will start from $749.99 (roughly Rs. 48,800).

Lenovo IdeaPad 320

Moving on to IdeaPad 320, the laptop will be made available with seventh-generation Intel Core processor and come in 15-inch and 17-inch screen sizes. The laptop will be made available with up to 2TB of HDD storage and 16GB of RAM as per the Verge.The pricing for the 15-inch variant of the laptop starts from $439.99 (roughly Rs. 28,600) and that for 17-inch variant starts from $489.99 (roughly Rs. 31,900).

Lenovo Legion Y920

Lenovo's new Legion Y920 laptop is a VR-ready 17-inch "pro-level gaming rig," as described by the company. The laptop will be made available with up to Intel's overclockable seventh-generation Core i7 K series processor, nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 graphics, and features a mechanical backlit RGB keyboard with lighting effects. Lenovo has described Legion Y920 as its "best gaming laptop yet." The pricing for the laptop starts from $2,699.99 (roughly Rs. 1,75,500) and it will be made available online next month.

Lenovo Flex 5

Finally coming to the Flex 5, Lenovo's new 2-in-1 laptop comes in 14-inch and 15-inch screen sizes and comes with a 360-degree hinge, as you might expect from 2-in-1 form factor.

The laptop will be made available with up to seventh-generation Intel Core processors. The Flex 5 will be available with up to Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics and an optional 4k UHD IPS Display. The pricing for the 14-inch variant starts from $719.99 (roughly Rs. 46,800) while that for the 15-inch variant starts from $829.99 (roughly Rs. 53,900) and both variants will be made available online starting later this month.
