Lenovo showcases range of Windows 8 devices at CES 2013

Lenovo kicked off the CES 2013 with a slew of Windows 8 devices including IdeaPad U Series Ultrabooks and Lenovo Erazer X700 gaming desktop PC.

The Lenovo Erazer X700 is a desktop targeted at the gamers and features Lenovo's exclusive Onekey Overclocking feature. It comes with Extreme Intel X79 processors and leverages AMD Eyefinity technology, to enable users to connect up to six monitors and add up to 4TB of storage without tools while the PC is still running. Other features include 32GB of memory, a USB 3.0 docking station and dual graphics support (NVIDIA GeForce or ATI CrossFireX 1). Each unit will come with gaming keyboard and mouse and is expected to be available by June for approximately $1,499.

Lenovo has also introduced two new ultrabooks - IdeaPad U310 and IdeaPad U410. Both these ultrabooks sport the latest Intel Core i7 processor and 10-finger touch support The Lenovo IdeaPad 310 comes with 13-inch screen and will be available in market starting March for $799. IdeaPad 410, on the other hand comes with 14-inch screen and start retailing from April for $850.

The company also introduced Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 Touch and IdeaPad Z500 Touch, which are optimised for the Windows 8 touch-based user interface. Both the Z series laptops come with Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT645M 2GB graphics card. Lenovo Ideapad Z400 features a 14-inch screen and will be available in March for $699.

Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 Touch has a 15.6-inch will be available from April 2013 and will cost $ 699. Both these Z series laptops come with backlit AccuType keyboard, which lets users too type even in the dark.

Lenovo IdeaCentre A730 is a 27-inch multi-touch all-in-one (AIO) that measures 24.5mm thick. It runs on Windows 8 and is powered by quad-core Intel Core i7 processors. This AIO boasts of an adjustable screen which according to the company can be adjusted in between angle of -5 degrees to 90 degrees. It can support maximum of 1TB hard drive and 8GB RAM. Lenovo is pegging that this device will be available in market by June 2013 and starting $1,499.

Apart from Lenovo IdeaCentre A730, Lenovo is also showcasing a C Series AIO at CES 2013. The 23-inch C540 non-touch model will be available starting February for $549. While the touch counterpart of this device is expected to be available starting June but the company has not announced any indicative pricing for the same.

Lenovo C540 AIO Core bundles in i3 chip, NVIDIA GeForce 615 chip with 2GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage. Both the screen - touch screen and non-touch will sport a screen resolution of 1920x1080.

Lenovo also showcased The ThinkPad Edge E431 and E531, which are the first devices to come with Lenovo OneLink technology and seek to eliminate cable clutter without hampering the performance of the device. Both the devices will be available starting May for $539.

"We've aggressively integrated touch across our consumer PCs so that we have one of the largest portfolios of Windows 8 touch products available."
