Toshiba India unveils five new laptops

Toshiba India has unveiled five new laptops powered by the third-generation of Intel core processors.

Toshiba has expanded its entry level C series with two new laptops. The Satellite C840 and C850 series come in configurations featuring the new Intel 7 series chipsets with a choice of integrated or dedicated graphics card. While the C840 has a 14" display, the C850 features a 15.6" screen.

The C series laptops feature USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI ports and the option of textures and glossy finish with larger size touchpad. Available in textured black, glossy black and glossy silver colour options, the entire C series range is priced between Rs. 23,000 and Rs. 44,000.

The power-packed L series gets expanded with the addition of the Satellite L850 series. It comes with features like dedicated 2GB graphics memory, USB sleep and charge, webcam and a 15.6" screen, in addition to the features in the C series.T he premium Satellite L850 series is priced between Rs. 51,500 and Rs. 56,000.

The Satellite M840 is targeted at professionals on the go, with its light body and a net weight less than 2 kg. It features a 14" screen and a price range of Rs. 32,500 to Rs. 41,000.

The Satellite U840 is an Ultrabook featuring a 32GB SSD coupled with a 500GB hard disk. It is powered by Intel i5 processors and comes equipped with tile keyboards with LED backlighting, a large and easier-to-use ClickPad and USB 3.0 port. It is priced at Rs. 53,500.

Commenting at the launch of the 2012 Satellite series range, Mr. Sivakumar N., Vice President - Strategic Marketing, Product Management and Services - DS Division, Toshiba India Pvt. Ltd. said, "With thinner and lighter profile and high-quality durable design, the new Satellite series is a testimony to our strong heritage of leading innovation."
