Google Pixel 3 lineup has been a part of a massive number of leaks over the past few days. Now, yet another report has hinted at some more details about the upcoming flagships. The latest report contains information about multiple features that are related to the camera, Pixel series' best-known feature. The camera is one of the most important features in the Pixel lineup, and previous leaks had suggested that the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will bear a dual camera setup at the front of the smartphone. Interestingly, the smartphones are said to be able to capture 'Super Selfies' with the front cameras. Also, Google is rumoured to introduce a new Visual Core chip in the rear camera.

Citing people familiar with the matter, a 9to5Google report claims that Google will bring upgrades to the rear camera, a new Visual Core chip, a dual selfie camera setup with new 'Super Selfies', among other things. Several previous reports and image leaks had already affirmed that Google will stick to a single camera at the back of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. However, it is expected to introduce dual front cameras in the display notch. But, until now, it was not clear what the second camera would do.

As per several people cited in the report, Google is planning to introduce what it may call 'Super Selfies'. One of the two front-facing sensors will have a wide angle lens to capture images in "improved Portrait Mode". One source has also claimed that the selfie camera may also be used for improving a security/facial recognition feature.

Furthermore, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will benefit from an upgraded Visual Core chip, the report claims. The handsets will use it for "more than just HDR+." Apparently, low-light photos are "incredible" with the new camera setup. Google is "doubling down on making a single camera powerful enough to not need a second camera," a source was quoted as saying. Notably, there is no concrete information on what upgrades the new Visual Core chip will bring.
