Huawei Ascend G700 surfaces online in leaked press renders

The notorious @evleaks is at it again. This time @evleaks has tweeted a press shot of the Huawei Ascend G700 along with a link to a tweet by @paopao0128 that talks about the specifications of the phone. The latter had suggested that the G700 will run Android 4.2, a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, an HD LCD display and both WCDMA and TD-SCDMA variants.

Another report by Engadget also spots a hands-on photo taken from Sina Weibo. The photo also points out that the phone is expected to have a 5-inch display and 2GB of RAM. The report suggests that the phone is likely to be priced at around $320 unsubsidised.

Earlier this month, @evleaks had also leaked images of Huawei Ascend Plus and Huawei Ascend G710 along with their specifications. According to @evleaks, the Ascend Plus would sport a 4-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 480X800pixels, It would be powered by a 1GHz single-core processor, and will have 4 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. The phone is expected to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

@evleaks claims that the Ascend G710 will sport a 5-inch with 720p display. It is said to be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. Though it is not clear as to which company will manufacture the processor of the phone.

The latest leak comes at a time when the Huawei Ascend Mate makes its debut in the Chinese market. Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Ascend Mate sports a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It is powered by quad-core 1.5GHz processor with 2GB of RAM and a 4,050 mAh battery. The smartphone runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has 8-megapixel autofocus shooter at the rear and a 1-megapixel front camera for video chat.
