Intex Aqua Amaze With Android 4.4.2 KitKat Launched at Rs. 10,690

Intex on the eve of Diwali has launched the Aqua Amaze smartphone for a price tag of Rs. 10,690. The handset is available to buy from popular mobile retail outlets in Light Blue and Black colour variant.

The new Aqua Amaze, like several other recent Intex handsets, runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) support, and features a 5-inch (540x960 pixels) HD IPS display covered with OGS lamination.

It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core (MediaTek MT6592M) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Intex Aqua Amaze comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The rear camera features multi-angle view, panorama, face beauty, smile shot, face detection, HDR, self timer, tap to capture, and voice capture options.

On the connectivity front, the Aqua Amaze offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 7-8 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time. The smartphone measures 145.5x70x7.6mm.

The company over the weekend listed its Aqua Style X for purchase by an e-commerce site at Rs. 4,890. Intex has already launched two of its budget smartphones under the 'Aqua' series this month, namely Aqua Slice and Aqua Y2 Pro. Both handsets run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box.
