After launching the Aqua S7 smartphone earlier this month, Intex has now launched the Aqua HD 5.5 smartphone - priced at Rs. 5,637. The smartphone appears to be targeted at younger audiences with its tag line 'For The Young Guns'. The smartphone has been listed on the company site with price, however, the company has not disclosed availability details. We can expect the smartphone to become available online and via retail stores in the coming days.
The dual-SIM Intex Aqua HD 5.5 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and is listed to be available in Blue and Champagne colour variants. It bears a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display and has been priced by the company at Rs. 5,637. The smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and will be available in colours Champagne and Blue.
Intex claims that the Aqua HD 5.5's large display is ideal for gaming, movies, and online streaming.
The Intex Aqua HD 5.5 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580w processor coupled with with a GPU Mali-400MP and 1GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash.
The Aqua HD 5.5 bears just 8GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card. . The smartphone houses a 2800mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 8 hours of talk time. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers options like 3G connectivity, WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB. The phone measures 154x77.2x10.5mm.
