Intex has launched two new budget Android smartphones, the Aqua R3 and Aqua V3, priced at Rs. 2,570 and Rs. 3,260 respectively.

The company has listed both the new Intex Aqua-series smartphones on its website; however, there is no official word yet about the availability of these handsets. We expect that the company will announce the handsets in the coming days.

Both the Intex Aqua R3 and Intex Aqua V3 smartphones share a lot of similar specifications such as a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixels) display; a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel front camera.

Both the Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based smartphones come with dual-SIM support. The Intex Aqua R3 is powered by a 1GHz (RDA8810) processor, while the Aqua V3 packs a 1GHz Spreadtrum (SC7715) processor. Both include 256MB of RAM. The Aqua R3 and Aqua V3 come with 512MB and 2GB of ROM storage respectively.

Notably, the Aqua V3 features 3G connectivity support while the Aqua R3 just supports 2G (EDGE) connectivity. Another notable difference between the two budget Intex handsets is in the battery department - the Aqua R3 packs 1400mAh battery and the Aqua V3 comes with 1300mAh battery.
