  • Apple is widely expected to kill 3.5mm audio port
  • New dual-lens camera setup likely to be seen on the iPhone 7 Plus

We are merely hours away from Apple's Wednesday event where the company is expected to showcase the new iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch 2, apart from making other announcements. Ahead of the event, an accidental official listing by Apple Hong Kong may have just spilled the biggest mystery around the new iPhones. A Reddit user spotted the new iPhones - the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus - listed under the category "iPhone Compatibility" on the Apple Hong Kong accessories listing page.

An image posted by Jaspergreenham on Reddit clearly showed the listing with new models mentioned. If you had any doubts, the listing has seemingly 'confirmed' that Apple will unveil the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on Wednesday.

The official Apple Hong Kong listing has since changed, removing mention of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Another possible hint that the listing drops is that Apple seems prepared to sell earbuds compatible with the iPhone 7 series. Rumours have it that Apple plans to ditch the 3.5mm audio port and choose the Lightning EarPods. We will have to wait till Apple officially showcases the new iPhones.

In terms of specifications, Apple is again expected to keep the display sizes at 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch only for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus respectively. The iPhone 7 series is said to be powered by the company's new A10 chipsets. Apple is also rumoured to ship the new iPhone 7 Plus with dual camera setup which will use a combination of two 12-megapixel sensors. The iPhone 7, on the other hand, will see just one 12-megapixel sensor.

The Cupertino-based giant is also expected to kill the base 16GB storage and replace it with the 32GB model. Some leaks have referred that Apple may introduced a 256GB storage model as well. In colours, Apple is likely to add two new colours - Deep Blue and Space Black variant.
