Apple is working on bringing the new and improved iPhone 7 this fall, and Foxconn and Pegatron have already started mass hiring workers to begin production. But before the unveil, the iPhone 7 has been leaked heavily, and now back cases have been leaked attesting to some interesting rumours. There are also reports of a new colour variant.

The leaked back cases come from a company called Olixar (via MobileFun), and they reiterate a iPhone design form and structure similar to the the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The alleged iPhone 7 iPhone 7 of the do not see any significant changes from the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. The iPhone 7 Plus back cover renders do reveal the dual camera setup at the back, fuelling rumours further. There is also an opening at the bottom, with three connection pins, hinting at the much rumoured Smart Connector. The Smart Connector was first introduced with the iPad Pro for connecting the Smart Keyboard Cover and other accessories like charging docks. This leak, however, suggests that the Smart Connector will only be exclusive to the large variant.

There's another flaky rumour that claims that Apple might do away with the Space Grey colour variant, in favour of Deep Blue. Macotakara reports that the Cupertino giant will kill the Space Grey variant altogether, and introduce the Deep Blue variant. It has even managed to gather an image of the Deep Blue variant for more credibility. If this turns out to be true, many Apple fans will be disappointed, as the Space Grey was the safest bet for many. Adding a Deep Blue variant might sound like a possibility, but at the expense of the Space Grey variant would have many fans frowning. In any case, this is just a rumour and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

The iPhone 7 is expected to come in three variants - iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7 Pro/Plus Premium. The base variant will finally see a bump up to 32GB, and Apple will offer as much as 256GB storage option with the new iPhone devices. Apple is expected to shift the antenna bands to the edges, and get rid of the 3.5mm audio jack. There's also an expected 3GB RAM bump on the large variant, to accommodate the dual camera setup.
