Soon after announcing roll-out plans for the LG L Fino and L Bello smartphones, the South Korean giant has now confirmed the global roll-out of the LG G3 variant, G3 Stylus, which as the name indicates comes with a bundled stylus.

The South Korean consumer electronics giant has announced that the LG G3 Stylus will be available in Brazil starting this week, followed by other markets in Latin America, Central Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in the coming weeks. LG has not revealed the price of the handset and additional availability details, saying that it will be announced locally at the time of launch.

The company also confirmed that the G3 Stylus, optimised for various 3G markets, will be available in both single SIM and dual-SIM variants. It will be coming in Black, Gold, and White colours.

Initially announced in August ahead of IFA, the highlight feature of the G3 Stylus is that it comes with stylus support (Rubberdium stylus), as the name suggests, a feature that is missing from the G3 (Review | Pictures) flagship as well.

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based LG G3 Stylus features UX derived from the LG G3. Some of the features of the G3-derived UX skin include the Touch and Shoot feature, which clicks images by tapping anywhere on the display to focus and shoot in one single step, and Gesture Shot in the camera allows users to open and close a hand in front of the lens to start a three-second countdown for the shutter.

Other features include Knock Code, which was first introduced on the LG G2 that allows users to unlock the phone by tapping a personalised 'knock' pattern on the display, and QuickMemo+, which is a blend of three utility apps - Quickmemo, Memo and Notebook apps. The G3 Stylus also features dual window feature that allows multitasking in two separate windows.

For specifications, the LG G3 Stylus features a 5.5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor. It comes with 8GB inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage. There is 1GB of RAM as well.

The smartphone sports 13-megapixel rear camera and also comes with 1.3-megapixel font camera. LG G3 Stylus is backed by a 3000mAh removable battery. It measures 149.3x75.9x10.2mm and weighs 163 grams. The G3 Stylus will be available in Black, Gold and White colour variants.

Commenting on the launch, Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said, "As a device that carries over the soul of the LG G3, we believe the G3 Stylus is perfect for consumers looking for a powerful and reasonably priced smartphone. By offering not just a stylus experience but also the same premium user experience and design heritage of the G3, we're confident the G3 Stylus will set a new baseline for large smartphones in 3G markets."
