LG has launched a new phone in its L-Series III range, the LG L80. Joining the L40, L70 and L90, the smartphone has been launched in Indonesia only for now, with no details on global availability. It has been priced at IDR 2,500,000, which translates to roughly Rs. 13,100.

The LG L80 was announced by LG Indonesia on its Facebook and Twitter pages, which detailed the specifications of the smartphone, along with support of the popular LG Knock Code feature common to other devices in the L-Series III range.

LG has detailed both the single-SIM version and dual-SIM (LG L80 Dual) variants of the smartphone, and the devices are identical excepting the support for the second SIM. Just like other phones in the series from LG, we can expect the LG L80 Dual to be launched in India.

Like the rest of the L-Series III range, the LG L80 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the Optimus UI on top of it. Featuring a 5-inch (480x800 pixel) IPS display, the LG L80 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor (unspecified chipset) that is coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The LG L80 features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a VGA front-facing camera. It bears 4GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (maximum card size not detailed).

Other specifications of the LG L80 include such connectivity options as 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The smartphone is powered by a 2540mAh battery, though LG has not detailed battery life ratings.

Earlier this month, LG Mobiles partnered with Nimbuzz in India, bringing the messaging app pre-installed on all new L-Series III devices. Nimbuzz is also offering LG L-Series III smartphone owners 100 minutes of free international calls to any number in the US
