LG Optimus L5 makes global debut, coming to India soon

LG had showcased its Optimus L5 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) and now the handset is getting ready for the global launch. This L-Series smartphone is expected to be available in European markets such as U.K., Germany and France later this month. Though the Indian release will be close on its heels but LG has not shared a specific time right now.

This smartphone will be offering dual-SIM capability in India, but will omit NFC 'Tag & Play', which for now will be available only in the European and North American markets. LG Optimus L5 will be running on Android 4.0 operating system, and sport a 4.0-inch display.

According to Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, "The LG Optimus L5 is a very balanced smartphone that offers a great combination of design, display, performance, battery life and price that many will find very attractive."

LG Optimus L5 is the third device under the L series along with Optimus L3 and Optimus L7.
