Micromax A115 Canvas 3D to be launched in first week of May

Micromax is all set to launch its much talked about A115 Canvas 3D smartphone in the first week of May. NDTV Gadgets has learnt this information via an industry source.

NDTV Gadgets has also learnt that Micromax A115 Canvas 3D will be powered by 1GHz dual-core processor. The smartphone will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The price of this smartphone will be in the range of Rs. 15,000 to Rs, 20,000. Like all other smartphones in the Canvas range, Micromax A115 Canvas HD too is expected to be a dual-SIM smartphone.

With the help of Micromax A115 Canvas 3D you will be able to watch 3D pictures and videos on the smartphone. As per previous rumours Micromax A115 Canvas 3D will be a 5-inch smartphone much like the A116 Canvas HD smartphone.

Grapevine suggests that Micromax A115 Canvas 3D will have a WVGA (480X800) resolution, but there's no confirmation of thy yet. The other rumoured specifications include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB through a microSD card.

Earlier in the month, purported pictures of this smartphone had been posted online.

Micromax is also said to be working on A111 Canvas device. The pictures and specifications of this smartphone had been posted on micro-blogging website Twitter. As per our sources, this smartphone is still in final stages of development and may take a while to launch.

The leaked specifications of Micromax Canvas A111 include a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8225Q process with 4GB internal storage and 512MB RAM. The phone will reportedly ship with a 5.3-inch 540*960 display "with 5 point multitouch & Glove Touch". The phone is said to feature an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front camera, as well as a 2100 mAh battery.

Micromax Canvas A111 reportedly runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and will be 9.9mm thick and have 3D graphics accelerator, ambient light sensor, accelerometer and proximity sensor. The picture with the back cover removed also revealed that Micromax Canvas A111 will be a dual-SIM phone and come with expandable storage.
