After the P77, Panasonic has now launched the Eluga Tapp smartphone in India. The Panasonic Eluga Tapp is priced at Rs. 8,990, and is now available via major brand outlets across the country. The budget smartphone sports a fingerprint scanner, offers 4G VoLTE support, and integrates Android for Work feature to keep work apps and personal apps separate from one another, and keeps the data secure as well. This means that the personal apps cannot communicate with work apps or corporate accounts in any way, and vice versa.

As for the specifications, the Panasonic Eluga Tapp features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by 1.25GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded using the microSD card slot (up to 32GB). For photography, the Panasonic Eluga Tapp sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and supports dual-SIM slots (4G/3G + 2G). The smartphones packs a 2800mAh non-removable battery and weighs 138 grams.

The Panasonic Eluga Tapp measures 143x71x8.15mm, and is available in Champagne Gold and Silver Grey colour variants. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Global Positioning System (A-GPS), and FM Radio. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, the Panasonic Eluga Tapp also supports proximity, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor
