Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch India launch live video

Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be making their debut shortly in India. Samsung is hosting an event starting at 12:15PM (India Time) in New Delhi, and is also hosting a live video webcast, which you can find below.

Update: The Galaxy Note 3 has been priced at Rs. 49,900, while the Galaxy Gear has been priced at Rs. 22,990. Both devices will hit Indian retail shelves on September 25.

Recently, both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch went up for pre-orders in India. The Galaxy Gear can presently only work with the Note 3 and the Note 10.1 2014 Edition, all three devices that were unveiled at IFA 2013.

At the IFA 2013 announcement, Samsung said that the Galaxy Note 3 will be rolled out starting from September 25 in more than 140 countries around the world. The Note 10.1 2014 Edition will be available starting Q3 2013.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. It comes in two variants: the LTE-variant powered by 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and the 3G (HSDPA) version powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos processor. However, the company will be launching only the 3G variant in India.

The Galaxy Note 3 includes 3GB of RAM, and sport a 13-megapixel rear camera alongside a 2-megapixel front camera. The Note 3 is powered by 3,200mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be launched in three colours in India- Black, Pink and White.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Gear smartwatch which is the first wearable tech device from the South Korean major was also launched at IFA. It features a 1.63-inch (4.14 cm) OLED display and can make calls, display messages, record videos and snap photos with its 1.9-megapixel camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been rolled out in UK and comes with a price tag of 649 UK Pounds (Rs. 66,270 approximately) which is the price for the unlocked version of the handset while the Galaxy Gear smartwatch is available for 299 UK Pounds (Rs. 30,530 approximately). The off-contract pricing of the Galaxy Note 3 is about $700 in US (Rs. 46,000 approximately).
