Sony made a big splash at the Consumer Electronics show (CES) 2013 by unveiling two new smartphones Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. These two smartphones have not even hit the retail markets as yet and we are already hearing about two more smartphones.

The first of these two smartphones is the Sony C530X 'Huashan'. This smartphone has been in news for a while now. As per the post of Indonesia's Postel Telecom, this smartphone will be dubbed Sony Xperia SP. As per past rumours it is expected that this smartphone will be come with 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm SnapDragon and a 720p display. It is expected to run on Android 4.1.

Sony Xperia SP is also touted to be a mid-range device that resembles the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL in terms of looks.

The other device bears the codename C210X. According to Postel site's post, this smartphone will be dubbed Xperia L. This is expected to be an entry-level Android smartphone. According to the grapevine, the Sony Xperia L will have a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 854x480 resolution display. It is also suggested that it will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box.

It is noteworthy, that about a year ago, the same telecom site had solved the mystery of the codenames 'Nypon' and 'Kumquat' and revealed that these were indeed Sony Xperia P and Xperia U. So it is likely that that they might be on track even this time. However, the mystery behind Sony's naming scheme has only intensified after the revelation.

For now, there is no word on when these smartphones will see the light of the day or what will be the pricing. However, we won't be surprised if we do get to see these smartphones at the forthcoming MWC at the end of February.
