The wait for Sony Xperia S users finally comes to an end as the company has released the much awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update for the smartphone. The update will be rolled out over-the-air. Users can also choose to update through the web, PC Companion or Bridge for Mac.

The 200MB update, which will gradually be made available to users, includes the typical ICS features and new media applications, which will help manage movies, videos, music and photos on the device.

The new Walkman application comes with Facebook integration. Users can discover their friends' taste in music and also share personal favourites.

The Album application will allow users to sort and browse photos and videos which they can share via Facebook. There's also a Movies application which streamlines movie viewing and playback while also listing more information and album artwork for them.
