While Sony is anticipated to release its next flagship, the Xperia Z3, on September 3, the alleged devices' design has been leaked in complete teardown images, before it's even unveiled officially.

The leaked teardown images by Xperiablog reveal both the internal architecture of the alleged Xperia Z3 handset, as well as the outer body design. The smartphone's design is conspicuously similar to that of the earlier leaked smartphone by @evleaks.

The alleged Xperia Z3 teardown images features a shot of the battery, which is revealed to be a 3100mAh offering - down from the 3200mAh battery on the Xperia Z2 (Review | Pictures).

Previously the anticipated Xperia Z3 was spotted in certification listing on Tenaa, the Chinese equivalent of the FCC. Specifications listed on Tenaa for the Sony L55t (thought to be a China-specific variant of the Sony Xperia Z3) include a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display; 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor; 3GB of RAM; a 20.7-megapixel rear camera; 16GB of internal storage with microSD slot; 146.5x72.4x7.35mm dimensions; 158.4 grams weight, and Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Japanese giant is also rumoured to bring a mini variant of the smartphone, at the same September 3 pre-IFA event, that's expected to be dubbed Xperia Z3 Compact. The anticipated Sony Xperia Z3 Compact was first tipped by an XDA developer from India in July. The developer had also tweeted an image of the expected handset, along with purported speculations and model number D580x. The specifications claimed by the tipster included a 4.5-inch 720x1280 pixel display, a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor, an Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone supposedly features a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.
