If Xiaomi indeed releases the Redmi Note 5A Prime in the US, it will be the company's first handset to launch in the country. In terms of design, the Xiaomi smartphone spotted on the US FCC website looks nearly identical to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime, as pointed out in a report by GSMArena.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime, which was the highest-end variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, was launched back in August by the company. If we talk about the specifications on the handset, it runs the latest MIUI 9 software and has two SIM slots (Nano +Nano) with another dedicated microSD slot for memory expansion. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display and is powered by the Snapdragon 435 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. In terms of optics, at front, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel 76-degree wide-angle sensor with an independent soft light flash, f/2.0 aperture, and real-time beauty filters.
