Xolo Opus HD With Android 4.4.2 KitKat Launched at Rs. 9,499

Xolo has launched the Opus HD smartphone, which is now listed on the company's site at a price of Rs. 9,499. There is no official word on the availability details of the Xolo Opus HD; though, we expect that the company will announce the availability of the smartphone in the coming days.

The Xolo Opus HD is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs the recent Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display and offers a pixel density of 294ppi.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Broadcom (BCM23550) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Videocore IV GPU. The Xolo Opus HD comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The rear camera features scene detection, face recognition, Panorama, geo tagging, Best shot, Smile shot, and HDR options.

On the connectivity front, the Xolo Opus HD offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 2500mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 28 hours of talk time and up to 600 hours of standby time on 2G networks. It measures 143x71x7.9mm and is listed in Black colour.

Earlier this month, Xolo launched the Q2100 smartphone with a built-in fingerprint scanner at Rs. 13,499. The highlight of the Xolo Q2100 smartphone is the built-in fingerprint scanner at the rear, and an IR blaster that is capable of functioning as a universal remote along with the preloaded Peel Smart Remote app.
