ZTE Axon 7s With Snapdragon 821 SoC Launched Alongside Axon 7 Max

Chinese handset manufacturer ZTE has unveiled the Axon 7s alongside the Axon 7 Max, giving an upgrade to the company's premium Axon 7 smartphone. The company in a release is stressing on security features of the new ZTE Axon 7s and Axon 7 Max smartphones which comes with "systematic integration of intelligent encryption."

The ZTE Axon 7s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor while the ZTE Axon 7 Max packs a massive 4100mAh non-removable battery. Unfortunately, the Chinese company hasn't revealed all the details of the new ZTE Axon 7s and Axon 7 Max. The company has shared an image of the Axon 7s showing the speaker grille at the front placed right above the display alongside front-facing camera. Some of the other features teased by ZTE for the new Axon 7s and Axon 7 Max include real-time voice to text translation with up to 23 languages support, and other intelligent voice functions.

The Chinese company unfortunately has not shared any more details of the smartphones, and is also yet to reveal availability.

To recall, the ZTE Axon 7 was launched in China in May last year in three variants - Basic, Standard, and Premium. Highlights of the smartphone were its dual front speakers and cameras, Dolby Atmos and HiFi audio support, as well as the Force Touch display - which was only available on the Premium variant. We can expect some of the highlight features of the Axon 7 to be present on the Axon 7s and Axon 7 Max smartphones.

For pricing, the Basic variant was priced at CNY 2,899(roughly Rs. 29,600), the Standard at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs.33,800), and Premium at CNY 4,099 (roughly Rs. 42,000). The phone was also launched in the US last year.
