Steve Jobs' Daughter Lisa Is the Heroine of Upcoming Biopic: Aaron Sorkin

Aaron Sorkin, the screenplay writer of the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic by Sony Pictures, has been quoted to say that Lisa Brennan's character will be the heroine of the movie.

Sorkin, in a recent interview with The Independent added that Steve Jobs' relationship with his daughter Lisa was something that drew him to it. "With The Social Network, I was interested in the psychology of the world's most successful social networking system being invented by the world's most anti-social guy. And in the case of Steve Jobs, it's the relationships he had - particularly with his daughter, Lisa - that drew me to it. She didn't participate in Walter Isaacson's book, because her father was alive at the time, and she didn't want to alienate either of her parents, so I was very grateful that she was willing to spend time with me. She is the heroine of the movie," he said.

However, it is yet to be known who will play Brennan in the movie. Notably though, Jessica Chastain was recently also said to be under consideration for a part in the same movie, and it is possible she might play Lisa, though as of now which role she is being considered for has not been revealed - she may even be playing the role of Steve Jobs' wife, Laurene Powell Jobs.

Previously, Aaron Sorkin, in an interview with Bloomberg Television, had confirmed that Christian Bale would play Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic. He was quoted, "We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale."

However, Christian Bale was later said to have pulled out of the movie.

A report from earlier this month suggested that Fassbender "is in early talks" to play the role of "Jobs" in the upcoming Sony biopic. However, no official announcement by Sony has been made about Fassbender being considered to replace Bale.

Notably, Christian Bale is the second actor to reportedly decline the role of the late Steve Jobs, after Leonardo DiCaprio. Reports have also suggested that Seth Rogen was roped in to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
