Alcatel on Tuesday launched a new variant of its A3 10 tablet in India, complete with 4G VoLTE connectivity The latest tablet in the company's A-series has received an upgrade in terms of RAM, storage, and cameras. The new Alcatel A3 10 is available on sale via Flipkart from today (May 8) in Black colour variant. It is priced at Rs. 11,999. However, Alcatel is offering a Rs. 1,000 cashback on the A3 10 as part of its launch, taking the effective price down to Rs. 10,999. Additionally, mobile operator Reliance Jio is offering 20GB of free data on purchase of the tablet.

The company says its A-series has been designed to for users who want a "premium range of tablet devices that offer affordability." Two variants of the Alcatel A3 10 tablet are already available in India. Apart from having a 10.1-inch display, the biggest highlights of the new Alcatel A3 10 variant are 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, and 5-megapixel selfie camera. The Alcatel A3 10 also supports 4G VoLTE connectivity as well as Wi-Fi support. The voice-calling tablet also sports dual speakers for a better multimedia experience, the company said.

Alcatel A3 10 specifications

The single-SIM (Micro) Alcatel A3 10 runs Android 7.0 Nougat. As mentioned, it sports a 10.1-inch (800x1280 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735B SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. The Alcatel A3 10 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet packs 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).

Connectivity options in the Alcatel A3 10 tablet are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB OTG, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio. The tablet has an accelerometer. Additionally, the tablet is fuelled by a 4600mAh battery.
