Keen to tap the fast growing tablet market, Alphabetics Computer Services today made a foray into the e-learning segment by launching 'TabGuru offering pre-loaded materials.

The company claims TabGuru is the first company to offer such offline education on a tablet personal computer. The product is available in 7-inch and 10-inch screens and uses the Android operating system.

The 7-inch Alpha Edu-I is priced at Rs. 9,999 and the 10-inch Alpha Edu-II is priced at Rs. 14,999.

The company said the pre-loaded content in the tablet is a mix of animation and video across different educational boards.

"There are many good e-learning contents available for ICSE and CBSE boards, but lack of investment in computer and low Internet penetration has resulted in these not reaching the masses.
