The Galaxy Note 8.0 is one of the most anticipated tablets from Samsung this year and it's already hogging all the attention in a series of leaks. According to Unwired View, the latest ones appear on a French Android blog that clearly show the famed S-Pen this time.

From the two images posted by the site, it is very evident that the device totally inherits looks from the Galaxy S III, as pointed out earlier as well. The second image shows the device alongside a Galaxy Note II, giving us an idea of the tablet's size in comparison.

One can clearly see that, Samsung seems to have gone all 'portrait-looking' for this latest tablet, which is a first when compared to the Korean manufacturer's previous offerings. Right from the logo up top to the physical home button, the device is more portrait oriented and if this is the final design, then it will be a massive Galaxy S III, considering it has calling capabilities as well.

The first real images of the tablet emerged last week on an Italian forum with one of the images showing the S-Pen holder on the bottom right, though it wasn't clear until now. The tablet sports the same curved chassis as seen in the Galaxy S III.

As far as rumoured specs go, this new tablet is expected to sport 8.0-inch 1280X800 TFT (Super Clear LCD) display. It may come in two versions - Samsung GT-N5100, which will be a 3G+Wi-Fi version and the GT-N5110, which will be a Wi-Fi only version. The dimensions of the tablet will be 211.3X136.3X7.95 mm and it will weigh around 330g.

Other alleged specs for Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 include 4600mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, option of 16 or 32GB as internal storage, 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is likely to run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Other connectivity options may include Bluetooth version 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and A-GPS.

The device is also rumoured to be priced under $300. The Note 8.0 is apparently confirmed to make a debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to be held in Barcelona next month.

In some more tablet news, SamMobile reports that Samsung has cancelled the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and may instead go ahead with the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, that will be dependent on how the Galaxy Note 8.0 sells.

It further states that Samsung is also making efforts to bring the  Android-based Galaxy Tab 3 Plus or P8200 to the market. This is the high-end tablet we reported earlier that is expected to come in 16 and 32GB variants. Additionally, a second generation Galaxy Note 10.1 codenamed Vienna may also be in the works.

The blog has listed Samsung's expected tablet line-up likely to launch this year. The next generation Galaxy tablets, branded as Galaxy Tab 3 and will include now include 8-inch, 10.1-inch and the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus versions that will be launched in separate Wi-Fi and LTE variants as well.
