Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 with Jelly Bean now in India for Rs. 13,900

Samsung's 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 311 is now available in the country and is listed on the company's official e-store for Rs. 13,900. The tablet is also being offered on eBay India for Rs. 13,899.

The Galaxy Tab 2 311 (P3110) boasts similar specs in comparison to its 3G sibling, the Galaxy Tab 2 310, except that this one is missing 3G support.

Measuring 193.7 x 122.4 x 10.5 mm and weighing 341g, the tablet sports a 7-inch PLS TFT LCD display with a 1024x600 (WSVGA) resolution. The tablet comes pre-installed with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and features a 3-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras.

On the inside, the tablet is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and has 16GB of internal storage with external expansion support upto 32GB via microSD. It comes with a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0.

The Galaxy Tab 2 311 comes with a host of pre-loaded educational content as well and users can download additional content form the company's My Education service.    

Samsung is already offering the Galaxy Tab 2 310 (Review) I Pictures) for Rs. 19,500. The 3G version of the tablet was officially priced at Rs. 23, 250 during launch.

The Galaxy Tab 2 310 was the first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet from the Korean manufacturer and comes with features like 1GHz dual-core processor, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera and 1GB of RAM.

The Korean manufacturer offers a range of tablets including the 8.9-inch and the 10.1-inch screen sizes. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Galaxy Note 800 both sport 10.1-inch screens and are available for an official price of Rs. 26,590 and Rs. 35,190 respectively.  

This year, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab 3 lineup along with the Galaxy Note 8.0, which is expected be priced between $249-$299. According to previous reports, Samsung is working on an Android-based Galaxy Tab 3 Plus or P8200, which is a high-end tablet that is expected to come in 16 and 32GB variants. Additionally, a second generation Galaxy Note 10.1 codenamed Vienna may also be in the works.

The next generation Galaxy tablets will include the 8-inch, 10.1-inch and the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus versions that will be launched in separate Wi-Fi and LTE variants as well. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is confirmed to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
