Idea Nirvana Postpaid Plans Launched, Bring 'Data Carry Forward' and Unlimited Calls

Idea Cellular has refreshed its postpaid offerings with the rollout of new Nirvana plans, and introduced data roll over, previously introduced by Airtel in August and Vodafone in November. Idea calls its data roll over feature 'data carry forward' A total of eight monthly postpaid plans have been launched ranging from Rs. 389 to Rs. 2,999. These plans compete directly with Vodafone's Red postpaid plans and Airtel's Infinity postpaid plans.

All tariff plans in the Nirvana postpaid range offer unlimited local and STD calls, apart from free incoming calls on roaming. All but the cheapest, Rs. 389 plan, also offer free outgoing calls on roaming. The plans also offer 100 free SMSes (local and STD) per day. Additionally, the Rs. 1,299 plan and Rs. 1,699 plans offer 100 free ISD minutes while the Rs. 1,999 plan and Rs. 2,999 offer 200 free ISD minutes. Free ISD calls will be applicable to these countries - USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The Rs. 389 plan offers 10GB of high-speed data a month, while the Rs. 499 plan gets 20GB a month, the Rs. 649 plan gets 35GB a month, the Rs. 999 plan gets 60GB a month, the Rs. 1,299 plan gets 85GB a month, the Rs. 1,699 plan gets 110GB a month, the Rs. 1,999 plan gets 135GB a month, and finally, the Rs. 2,999 plan gets 220GB a month.

Apart from these benefits, all Nirvana plans give Idea postpaid users free access to 12 months of Idea Music, Idea Movies, and Idea Games. All plans except the Rs. 389 plan offer between 4 to 12 months of a magazine subscription, and a 4 month subscription to to Idea Phone Secure. The plans offer the user an option to carry forward their leftover data to the next billing cycle. Customers with plans of Rs. 1,299 and below have a limit of 200GB data rollover while those with plans of Rs. 1,699 and above can carry forward up to 500GB of their data to the next month.

Users availing Nirvana postpaid plans of Rs. 499 and above will be entitled to the Idea Select Membership that gives them priority access at Idea stores and customer care. This membership also unlocks exclusive deals for Idea users from the My Idea app.

Idea's Nirvana postpaid plans offer the ease of family plans for up to 5 connections. Users, under this offer, can avail all benefits of the individual plans and get a 20 percent additional discount on the total bill rental. Idea also has a 10GB data bonus for up to 3 members with additional 10GB for every new member.

The primary member on the plan can use Parental Control to switch on/off data for other members on the family plan. Bundled is a 3-month free subscription to Smart Alert that lets you send a 1-click SMS alert to selected group. Special subscription rate for Family Tunes and 1-month free subscription to Family Connect are also part of the offer.
