The company roped in Pubjabi actor and singer Gippy Grewal as its brand ambassador and also unveiled a new logo which replaces text 'mobile services' in its old logo with with Telecom in white and green box.
"Change is always good and refreshing and brings in vibrancy in the environment. I am pleased to unveil our new brand logo 'Videocon Telecom' which brings with it a reinforced identity and a new vibrant approach," Videocon Telecom's CEO and Director Arvind Bali said in a statement.
On roping in Grewal as brand ambassador, Bali said: "Gippy is known for his versatility and has a huge fan following not only from youth, but also from people from all walks of life. This in addition to our all new and refreshing Videocon Telecom logo reflects our core values."
The company in November 2012 auctions won spectrum in six circles for Rs. 2,221.44 crore and operates in four circles of Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, at present. It aims to add about 60 lakh subscribers in 2013-14.
The company had over 22 lakh customers at the end of May this year.
Videocon is gradually building network in Bihar, UP East and UP West.
