X-Men and Captain America Spotted at Super Bowl 50

The Super Bowl gets a lot of attention on television, and this year, we've seen two trailer drops - for Captain America: Civil War (releasing on April 29), and X-Men: Apocalypse (releasing on May 27). The two trailers were really more like short teasers showing off some great visuals from the movies, and little else. That said, both the trailers were incredibly fun to watch, and the little snippets we saw of the two movies both looked really exciting.

Tony Stark has some kind of a watch that turns into a glove, which - if it's based on the comics - becomes a full Iron Man suit. Near the end, you see Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier) taking a shot at Tony Stark right at the end, before telling you to choose a side. Also, it's excellent that Ant-Man is shown in the lineup, and the "teams" that are being formed around Captain America and Iron Man promise to deliver on heck of a movie.

In case you've not seen the trailer yet, Team Cap includes Falcon, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, and Captain America, while team Iron Man includes War Machine, Black Widow, Vision, Black Panther, and Iron Man as well. Of course, when Vision chooses a side, it should be game over for everyone else, if Age of Ultron was any indicator, but hopefully the power levels will be addressed in some way during the coming movie.

The only thing we hope is that the film doesn't end with a conveniently arriving villain to make our heroes forget their conflict all too easily, the way the Batman v Superman trailer seemed to go.

The X-Men trailer shows even less of the movie if it is possible, and you could really think of it as a motion poster for each of the characters. That's pretty cool though, and as of now, we're really hyped. The different characters are looking great, and they're shown using their powers, without being too cheesy either.

Apocalypse also looks terrifying, and comes across as a real threat, but as of now, it's too early to say what the film is going to be like based on this trailer. The last couple of movies have been good so far though, so we're hoping for the best for now, though expect to know more soon.

The movie is releasing a month after Captain America: Civil War comes out, and in the coming days we've got the Deadpool release in February, and Batman v Superman in March, so it looks like we're getting new superheroes every month now - and of course, aside from Suicide Squad (August) there's also going to be a Star Wars spin-off Rogue One in December, so the geek calendar for 2016 is starting to look very crowded indeed.
