Samsung has expanded its F9000 series of Ultra High-Definition (UHD) 4K TVs adding 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes to the range, which includes the 85-inch 85S9 UHD TV.

According to Samsung, the UHD F9000 TVs incorporate a minimalist design with a narrow bezel, metal stand and metallic finish. The design of the TVs hides the built-in speakers and subwoofers for offering 70W sound output. It also features the One Connect Box removing cable clutter as it aggregates all connectors from multimedia players at one place.

The Samsung UHD F9000 TV panels feature over eight million pixels and a resolution (4K) four times higher than Full HD televisions.

Samsung says the LED panel produces crisp detail, optimal colour and contrast through the Quadmatic Picture Engine, the powerful picture processing technology integrated in the TVs.

It mentions that the Quadmatic Picture Engine adapts the source image, eliminates visual noise, and improves the detail and sharpness of the image before up-scaling the picture to be displayed in UHD resolution.

The F9000 UHD TVs also offer the Precision Black Pro technology and Micro Dimming Ultimate feature for enhanced brightness, superior contrast with the deep blacks, and real UHD resolution using proprietary algorithms.

The UHD TV has the ability to upgrade its software and hardware features over time to offer more services including support for future UHD standards through an Evolution Kit.

The TV also features Samsung Smart Hub, a three-panel layout that offers entertainment and social content on the TV's start screen. The TV comes with a built-in camera, video chat capability and wireless content sharing with mobile devices through screen mirroring.

The Samsung UHD TVs would be available for Indian markets priced at approximately Rs. 3.29 lakh and Rs 4.39 lakh for the 55-inch and 65-inch models, respectively. The 85S9 (85-inch) panel, which was launched in June is available at an approximate price of Rs. 28 lakh.
