Mango Man Consumer Electronics, which launched Teewe last year, is back with an upgraded version of the HDMI media streaming dongle. The Teewe 2 has been launched in India at Rs. 2,399.

The company has announced that the Teewe 2 will be available exclusively at Amazon India from Monday next week. The HDMI dongle can be pre-ordered from Tuesday via the company's official site. For pre-order customers, the company is offering an additional 1 year of warranty with the Teewe media streaming stick.

The company has also announced partnerships with ErosNow, which will offer two months of free ErosNow premium subscription including content from Indian entertainment to Teewe 2 users, and Airtel, will offer 20GB per month of free data for three consecutive months. The company in a press statement announced that the ErosNow partnership will go live soon.

The Teewe 2 HDMI media streaming dongle features a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.6GHz; a quad-core GPU; 1GB of RAM, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support. It can be connected to any TV with an HDMI port.

The company touts that the Teewe 2 is 30 percent smaller in size compared to the first-generation Teewe.

Commenting on the launch, Sai Srinivas, CEO, Teewe said, "We are very excited to launch the next version of Teewe with upgraded hardware for a better overall experience. Through this device, the customer can take advantage of the largest screen in the house to display and share his/her personalized content, be it from the internet or from his/her device. We are also thrilled to partner with Eros to bring its wide selection of premium Indian content."

The Indian market has lately seen some launches happening in streaming dongle segment with the popularity increasing with Google's Chromecast release late last year.
