If you've wanted to explore the wonderful underwater world of Rapture but haven't got the chance yet, and also own an iOS device, then you are in for some luck as 2K Games' critically-loved blockbuster first-person shooter BioShock is now on the App Store for Rs. 920, and with the name 'Bioshock'.

The Bioshock for iOS listing on the App Store details the supported iOS devices for the game - iPad Air, iPad mini 2, fourth generation iPad, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5. The port was created by 2K Games' China-based studio, and is a hefty 1.65GB download, but well below the 2GB file size limit set by Apple.

It was announced earlier this month and initial impressions of the media that has gone hands-on with the game is that the iOS-specific controls are not really comfortable to use. They however state that the game is slightly better with a supported third-party controller connected by Bluetooth. Moreover, as expected, the graphics have been scaled back to run on mobile hardware.

Currently, BioShock for the PC is available for a discounted price of Rs. 474, which is almost half the price of the iOS version. For those who are unaware of BioShock and its lore, it is about a mysterious underwater utopian world called Rapture. This world of Rapture is filled with powerful enemies, genetically modified 'splicers', deadly security systems, and of course the sinister combo of Big Daddy and little sister. Apart from a collection of weapons, the player also has something called 'Plasmids', which are special powers which can be used in addition to weapons.

Like we mentioned before, 2K Games had announced an iOS port of the classic PC game earlier this month, saying it would arrive later this summer with no further details. BioShock for iPhone was first announced in 2008, but never made it to the platform until now.
